Effective Engineers

Every year our team designs, builds, and flies a rocket in the International Rocket Engineering Competition, the largest intercollegiate rocketry competition in the world. We offer members the opportunity to evolve from never having entered a machine shop, to sending their hardware to the skies via proven engineering leadership.

SRAD Systems

Through Student Researched and Developed (SRAD) initiatives, we empower our members to manufacture and test every system in-house. We instill a culture of testing until failure and rebuilding until success. Through meticulous documentation and rigorous workflow, Swamp Launch aims to leave the University of Florida more advanced with each passing year.

The Kármán Line

One hundred kilometers up lies the Kármán Line: the internationally recognized boundary where Earth's atmosphere ends and outer space begins. Every system we build, test, and refine is designed for this exact threshold. Our development team is tasked entirely with pushing past standard limitations, moving us rapidly toward becoming the first student team to cross this line with a fully self-designed, staged rocket.
