Educational Engagement

Through a decade of K-12 community outreach initiatives, we inspire the next generation of innovators across Florida. We cultivate an inclusive learning environment for students from preschool to incoming undergraduates, sparking their passion for STEM and aerospace exploration. By delivering hands-on demonstrations in aerodynamics and rocketry, Swamp Launch aims to build foundational confidence and mentorship that empowers future leaders.

General Body Meetings

Our GBMs fill a lecture hall. Every lead engineer takes the podium to teach their subteam’s work to the whole membership, more than 200 students in the room at a time. Members learn how a rocket comes together and meet the people who build it, so each new student can find where they fit.

Hands-On GEMs

GEMs take the learning from the lecture hall into the lab. Each subteam runs its own educational session in the MAE-C lab, where 75 or more students at a time get close to the hardware and learn the craft directly from the lead engineers who practice it.

Certification Continuum

Through Tripoli and NAR, we have accelerated the cadence of high-powered rocketry certifications for over 50 L1 flyers, 10 L2 rocketeers, and a growing group of prospective members. By facilitating advanced machine and CNC training, Swamp Launch equips students with the precision manufacturing expertise required to innovate.
